Almost almost famous

From the beer joints of Texas to the Karaoke bars of Honolulu, Almost almost famous looks at how three hugely talented singers wound up paying the bills as impersonators. Topping the marquee are Texas rockabilly musician, Lance Lipinsky as Jerry Lee Lewis; Las Vegas-based R&B soul singer Bobby Brooks as Jackie Wilson and the “Elvis from Orlando,” Ted Torres.
Ted reached the top when he won the world’s best Elvis in 2017. While Ted would be happy playing the young Elvis forever, Lance and Bobby have bigger plans. They’re after stardom, not as a Jerry Lee Lewis or Jackie Wilson, but as themselves. So, who will break out and who will be forced to settle for less? And can their intrepid road manager keep their feet on the ground and the crowds cheering for more?
