As voluntarily as possible

Zijush is 13 years old when he is forced to go back to Macedonia. His friends in Germany didn’t want to accept that. They called him and brought him back to their classroom - via smartphone. We meet best friends who cross the world of borders by ignoring them. The film explains the forced migration of Roma, the ping-pong with families. It shows the experience of those who leave and of those who were left behind. A film about friendship, school, deportation, migration, Roma, racism, hope.

This film is part of a combined programme with: Standing rock take me from the river.
