Exodus

Director: Oliver Stiller

In October 2018, 7000 people from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador fled the rampant gang-crime and precarious economic situation in their home countries. They joined together in a massive trek with one goal: to cross Mexico and enter the U.S.A. Exodus introduces the people of the first caravan who left everything behind to start a dangerous and thousands-of-kilometres-long journey into the unknown.
Lawyer and human-rights activist Dr. Edgardo Buscaglia offers insights into this event and examines the political structures in Central America with regard to the exodus of the population.

This film is part of a combined programme with: Elizabeth and Dunkey following European dreams. They give unique and new perspectives on refugees in different parts of the world, images we don’t see here in Europe.
