Foy Vance: to Memphis

Director: Gregg Houston

Foy Vance travelled from the highlands of Scotland to Sam Philips Recording Studio in Memphis with the aim of capturing five songs in two days. He was going to be recording with session players he had never met. This short documentary captures the magic that was in the air as they got all five tracks captured live on day one, and eleven in total by the end of day two.

This film is part of a combined programme with: Alla zingara. Both films express the love of music and bring you into the world of musicians.
