Gigantic signs mark the motorways of France. Symbolic images of the crossed territories in which some accept to recognize themselves, where others do not. A France of peaks and streams, cheese and good wine, beautiful abbeys: so many representations that reassure, federate and freeze. What is France? To feel French? Or is it largely adhered to a fable?
