Platform is the story of three sisters who are Wushu fighters: Shahrbanu, Sohaila and Elaheh Mansourian. They come from a small town called Semirom and were born in a working class, poor family. From an early age their father made them work in the fields to earn money and support the family. When their father leaves they decide to seek out a better life for themselves. They exercise, join the Iranian national Wushu team, win back-to-back championships and begin to see a brighter future. Shahrbanu is the women's world record holder for gold medals; Elaheh is the only Wushu fighter in the lower weights who has beaten a Chinese opponent in the finals; and Soheila holds two world championship medals. A very strong, impressive film about three power sisters and their family from Iran.
